- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): The Transportation sector is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change, which are produced through vehicle exhaust gases. As an actor involved in the Paris Climate Agreement, the Government of Indonesia mitigates climate change, one of which is in the railroad sector. Climate change mitigation is carried out with the aim of reducing the number of private vehicle use which is the main source of emission in the transportation sector, especially land transportation by developing the development of railways as mass transportation. The government makes efforts to mitigate climate change by making adjustments to national development planning. Referring to the Minister of Transportation Regulation Km. 8 Year 2023, the Government conducts 2 (two) categories of mitigation in the railway sector, namely energy efficiency and utilization of new renewable energy (EBT). This category is reiterated in mitigation actions, namely the use of rail-based mass transportation, the use of solar-powered street lighting, Solar Power Plants (PLTS) on railway infrastructure or infrastructure, and the use of alternative fuels in railway facilities.
