- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) is an intelligence pact between Japan and South Korea regarding the exchange of information and technology related to North Korean nuclear and missiles. However, South Korea announced to cancel the agreement in August 2019. This research aims to explain the reasons why South Korea canceled the GSOMIA intelligence pact in 2019. The approach used by the author in compiling this research is qualitative with an explanatory research focus. In this research, the author uses the setting concept from Decision Making Theory by Snyder, Richard C, H.W Bruck, and Burton Sapin. The results of this research are South Korea’s reciprocal response to restrictions on semiconductor materials and Japan’s rejection of the South Korean Supreme Court decision.
