  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This study aims to provide a legal review of the use of non-lethal weapons, especially the Active Denial System (ADS) where ADS has the ability to provide heat stings on objects without causing physical injuries and attacking without being detected by the human senses. this study provides results in the form of legal analysis which can be a legal basis for the use of ADS. The research uses the theory of international humanitarian law as the basis of his theory to predict the rule of law on the use of ADS. From the analysis carried out it is known that there are several violations related to the destructive power and methods of use of these weapons from existing laws and there are also things that are not regulated in the rules of humanitarian law so that this study concludes that ADSs are included in the DEW category. have the potential to be made legal rule related to DEW.
