Rice is the staple food of the majority of Indonesian society and an important focus as food security in Indonesia. Along with the increase of population has increased demand for rice. One of the provinces in Indonesia which became granary particularly in the eastern part of Indonesia that tend to be highly food insecure is South Sulawesi. then ACIAR in 2008 seeks to help farmers in South Sulawesi to further improve rice productivity through collaboration and adoption of technology. Successful implementation ACIAR program in South Sulawesi bring increased yields and incomes of the farmers who participated in the project. These projects also help Indonesia in domestic food needs in the government’s efforts in the rice self-sufficiency.
