- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This study aims to explain the implementation of USAID’s cooperation with Indonesia in reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the LESTARI project which is viewed from the Indonesian national interest. The method in this research is descriptive. The data collection technique used is library technique with secondary data sources from books, mass media, journals, internet, and other sources. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis. The results showed that the LESTARI Program worked closely with the Indonesian government in implementing programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through various collaborations, especially at the regional level with a focus on several landscapes that are LESTARI’s concerns with Katingan-Kayahan Landscape as the main focus of the research. LESTARI interventions can continue to support the planning and policy-making process through the Landscape Conservation Plan. Furthermore, to garner important community support for landscape governance, the Multi Stakeholder Forum will continue to be an effective community-based institution to influence government agencies, private parties and local communities to be more responsible and have better coordination.
