- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This study aims to explain the efforts of the city of Baubau in joining the TPO (Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia Pacific Cities). The research method uses descriptive research type with data sources obtained from books, journals and websites related to the Baubau city government and also TPO. In this study the authors used the theory of the concept of paradiplomacy and international tourism. The results of this study indicate that the city of Baubau as a member of TPO is to carry out activities related to tourism promotion such as festivals or exhibitions that show the city of Baubau as a tourism city that has potential if it is well developed and managed. Improvement and maintenance of leading tourist objects is an effort to join the TPO (Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia Pacific Cities) in 2019.
