- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): The Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) is an economic cooperation between the governments of Indonesia and Japan. In principle, this cooperation is mutual market openness in Japan and in Indonesia as well as increasing Indonesia’s capacity with Japanese assistance. The results of this research using the world system theory Immanuel Wallerstain. This theory is used to answer the reasons for Indonesia’s loss from the IJEPA Cooperation (Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement). IJEPA policy is not profitable for the Indonesian government if Indonesia does not revise and optimize IJEPA instruments such as MIDEC. If IJEPA and MIDEC are run seriously, hopefully Indonesia can be more fortunate and can optimize the transfer of science and technology from Japan so that it can overcome the economic problems that exist in Indonesia.
