  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This paper present case studies of Corporate Social Responsibility program on Singapore Petroleum Company Mahakam Hilir (SPC – MH) in Sambutan, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This program are designed to reduce social exclusion among marginalized populations and explores whether CSR initiatives can increase economic and social capabilities. CSR is an evolving concept globally but, it has been defined as a set of business practices based on ethical norms and transparency that contributes to the sustainable development of internal and external stakeholders in the best interest of business society and environment. A socially-responsible firm in relation to its stakeholders and measures its performance via a triple bottom-line: Profit, people, planet. The analysis with the triple bottom line concept found that CSR has potential for positive and negative, lasting impact on developing countries, specifically on socially excluded populations. However, there is a need for additional monitoring and critical evaluation.
