- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): The conflict between China and Taiwan has been going on for a long time. For decades, China has always rejected all efforts for Taiwanese independence. Pressure continues to come from China in the form of reunification efforts followed by its one China policy, making Taiwan need allies to protect its national security. Taiwan’s needs are directly proportional to the interests of the US which wants to reduce the influence of communism in the Asia Pacific region. Therefore, over time, Taiwan and the US have established military cooperation to strengthen Taiwan’s national defense to face all forms of threats and aggression from China. However, China responded to this because the actions taken by Taiwan and the US were considered to have violated China’s sovereignty values. This research is qualitative research with descriptive research methods, then the data collection technique is carried out by means of literature review with secondary data sources, namely through books, journals and also the internet.
