  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): Environmental issues, one of which is energy security, are starting to become a new focus of countries, including the G20. In 2022, especially at the G20 summit in Indonesia, the issue of energy transition will be the main focus. Indonesia as a member of the G20 has the responsibility to immediately carry out an energy transition. Unfortunately, the use of renewable energy in Indonesia is still not optimal, one of which is due to the lack of funds. After the 2022 Bali Declaration, Indonesia received financial assistance through the JETP scheme to accelerate the energy transition. The formulation of the problem taken is how the energy transition carried out by Indonesia after the Bali Declaration in 2022. This research aims to find out Indonesia’s energy transition efforts towards new and renewable energy (NRE) or green energy after the momentum of the G20 in 2022 held in Indonesia. This research is designed to explain Indonesia’s energy transition according to green political theory. This research uses a qualitative method with library research data collection techniques, namely through the internet and related reading materials. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data with qualitative data analysis techniques that construct and analyze data to obtain research results. The results of the study show that the energy transition carried out by Indonesia has not been significant enough or is running slowly even after the JETP assistance after the Bali Declaration in 2022. The obstacles faced are in the form of risks and challenges, such as funding, human resources and others.
