- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): Kayan Mentarang National Park or TNKM is the largest conservation forest area located in North Kalimantan province. TNKM is also the only Nature Reserve Area (KSA) and Nature Conservation Area (KPA) in North Kalimantan province. The conservation program in TNKM uses a collaborative management system referring to efforts to fulfill Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No.13 in the target indicator 13.3 in Indonesia. This research uses Kate O’Niell’s environmentalism theory and the concept of Sustainable Development Goals. The research method used is qualitative method and data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documents. The results of the study explain that Kayan Mentarang National Park has a strategy in mitigating climate change. Conservation efforts of Kayan Mentarang National Park through the utilization of natural resources based on local wisdom, community participation with forest rangers in area security and protection activities, as well as education and conservation awareness for the community. Given that TNKM uses collaborative management that refers to efforts to fulfill SDGs target 13.3 which focuses on awareness and capacity education related to climate change adaptation mitigation. Therefore, the existence of TNKM has an impact on people’s lives on the environment, with knowledge of conservation providing understanding and community participation in sustainable environmental efforts.
