  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata):Since the global economic crisis hit the Euro Zone, the domestic economic activity of Ireland has declined due to unstable property market. The result is a financial crisis in the form of budget deficit and an increasing rate of inflation. This situation forced the European Central Bank to take efforts in handling the Ireland financial crisis. According to the concept of monetary policy by Aulia Pohan, in achieving the balance of economic growth, price stability, equity of development and balance of payments. This achievement can be done by applying monetary policy indicators, such as controlling interest rates and controlling the currency in circulation. This Research shows the European Central Bank’s efforts in handling the Ireland financial crisis of 2009 in two ways, the interest rate of the currency control and the currency in circulation control. In terms of the interest rate of the currency control,European Central Bank raised and lowered the interest rate of the Euro based on Ireland’s economic conditions. While the currency in circulation control, the European Central Bank implements monetary policy which is a moral persuasion in the form of bailout funds and open market operations by buying Irelend bonds.
