  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This study aims to analyze and describe the efforts undertaken by the Iraq Government in addressing the ISIS insurgency in Iraq in 2014-2016. The methodology used is qualitative descriptive through the collection of data that are non numbers with a secondary collection technique through a previous study of books, newspapers and internet. The results of this research showed that the separatist insurgency of ISIS caused by conditions of security and stability of Iraq after the invasion of multinational forces in 2003 which is not conducive developed and full of chaos and is become the ground of ISIS to achieve its goal in forming the Daulah Islamiyah through acts of terrorism. The existence of ISIS soon became a threat toward the government and the civilians of Iraq in which its activities tinged with violence and inhumane. Several efforts that have been conducted in dealing with the ISIS insurgency in Iraq in 2013-2015 is implemented through the political aspects of security policies and policies in the social and economic aspects are realized through armed resistance, National solidarity building and international cooperation by joining forces to make ISIS as regional and international security threat.
