  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This paper present case studies of Corporate Social Responsibility program on Singapore Petroleum Company Mahakam Hilir (SPC – MH) in Sambutan, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This program are designed to reduce social exclusion among marginalized populations and explores whether CSR initiatives can increase economic and social capabilities. CSR is an evolving concept globally but, it has been defined as a set of business practices based on ethical norms and transparency that contributes to the sustainable development of internal and external stakeholders in the best interest of business society and environment. A socially-responsible firm in relation to its stakeholders and measures its performance via a triple bottom-line: Profit, people, planet. The analysis with the triple bottom line concept found that CSR has potential for positive and negative, lasting impact on developing countries, specifically on socially excluded populations. However, there is a need for additional monitoring and critical evaluation.

  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): REDD+ is the provision of incentives to rainforest nations to protect their forests in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protection sustainable management of forests and enhancement of carbon reserves. REDD+ has not become part of a global deal on climate change, but is proposed to be included in the new agreement that will replace the Kyoto Protocol. In the meantime, REDD+ pilot schemes are being implemented and funding mechanisms being drafted UN agencies, international financial institutions, private companies, government and environmental organizations. REDD+ is needed to rehabilitate the forests in Mai-Ndombe District Bandundu Province, Republic Democratic of Congo that damaged and converted due to the exploitation of forest-based industries such as SOFORMA Companies and illegal logging for the purposes of supporting the post-conflict weapons and ammunition during the reign of Mobutu Sese Seko.

  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): The purpose of this research is to determine the actual implementation of cooperation Australia’s Northern Territory (NT) and the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan and analyze the cooperation relations in favor of accelerating the achievement of self-sufficiency in meat in 2018 in East Kalimantan. The type of this research is descriptive, tehnicque of data analyze is qualitative and use secondary- and primary-data. The problem will be analyzed by using theory of liberalism, theory of international cooperation and the concept of self-sufficiency in meat. The research result showed that the cooperation between NT and Kaltim realized only two fields (of seven fields), namely education and trade. From the results of the analysis showed that the Development of Cattle in Kaltim is increasing every year, but still can not meet the consumption needs of the community. However, the projections of East Kalimantan provincial government to achieve meat self-sufficiency in 2018 is relying too much on the private sector (coal mining and oil palm plantation). If the East Kalimantan provincial government did not adjust back projection cattle development according to recent real conditions then the meat self-sufficiency targets set in 2018 will most likely not be achieved.

Conflict in Southern Thailand is a conflict caused of the discriminatory treatment to an area that has a different cultural basis namely South Thailand, made public in this region claim their right and demonstrate even do some anarchists to many casualties Thai nationals citizens. Indonesia and Malaysia in this regard is a country close to the borders of Thailand also have some cooperation and fear of threats to their security state makes Indonesia and Malaysia is willing to help Thailand to resolve the conflict in southern Thailand. Its involvement in Indonesia is willing to be a mediator in the meeting and Malaysia is willing to be a facilitator. Indonesia and Malaysia had a different time of involvement, Indonesia in 2008 and Malaysia in 2013 until 2016.The results showed that the efforts that have been taken by Indonesia and Malaysia in this case has been going well. Indonesia and Malaysia for its involvement in the Southern Thailand conflict quite successful in bringing together the two sides of the conflict and to mediate communication intensive, but, in this case Malaysia has committed more than Indonesia.

  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This thesis aimed to determine the efforts undertaken by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) as an IGO in addressing the internally displaced people in Ukraine started 2014 to 2015. The data will be presented in this research is secondary data, where the data are obtained through literature review of books, journals, reports, mass media, internet, and resources related to the subject matter. The technique of data analysis used in this study is qualitative data analysis technique in which the problems described by the facts that there is then correlation each other and then drawn a conclusion. The results showed that the efforts by UNHCR in addressing internally displaced people in Ukraine that began on June 2014 which be started with opened their field office for displaced people in Ukraine at Maripol, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kiev, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zakarpattya, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Kirovohrad region. Then UNHCR’s activities continue with five efforts: providing basic needs, IDP registration, undertake the protection programs for IDP, improvement of health service and give cash assistance. UNHCR collaborated with IDP communities, UN actors, international and national NGOs, civil society, and central and local authorities to address identified protection concerns and humanitarian assistance gaps for internally displaced people in Ukraine.
