The results of this study shows that the main reason Alibaba Group acquired Lazada Group SA is to increase its profitability in Southeast Asia EC market. افتتاح اليورو 2024 However, there are series of considerations behind this acquisition, which include: (i) owning intellectual property rights, ie ownership the brand name of lazada and use it as platfotm to expand in Southeast Asia; (ii) exploiting the experience curve, ie utilizing the experience of Lazada such as knowledge of market preferences, obstacles, and consumer behavior in the region; and (iii) achieving economies of scale or scope, ie Alibaba Group’s efforts to increase its profit by reducing the average cost per sale and lowering the price per product sold due to the breadth of the company’s business operations.
