The author in this research explains Australia’s role in the political framework of the Indo-Pacific region, then the presence and position of China which is considered a threat in the Indo-Pacific region, then explains how the AUKUS pact is projected as security integration in the Indo-Pacific region. This discussion then forms the findings of this research, namely the existence of relative advantages that Australia wants to optimize to support the fulfillment of national interests through its membership in the AUKUS pact. Optimization through this pact began in 2021 and is still ongoing with a focus on optimizing the development of Australia’s military capabilities and supporting facilities. This research also explains the efforts made by Australia to achieve this goal along with the advantages and disadvantages. Another advantage is obtained by procuring SSN-AUKUS which will open up employment opportunities in the submarine construction center. Future prospects will also optimize the development of Australia’s advanced undersea capabilities.
