  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): The problem of food security is a problem that occurs globally. According to FAO, food security is a condition where an individual or household has physical or economic access to food for all household members and is not at risk of losing both. Indonesia is categorized as a country prone to food insecurity because of Indonesia’s demographics, such as population growth, which continues to increase, but food availability, both in terms of production and distribution, has not been met in several regions in Indonesia. Food insecurity is a condition of the inability to obtain sufficient and suitable food for a healthy life and good activities. Based on World Food Program data, Indonesia is ranked 72nd out of 109 food insecure countries. This then prompted Indonesia to specifically set a national target to end hunger and guarantee access to food and nutrition for the entire community. In this national target, one of Indonesia’s steps is cooperation with FAO. Confirmation of this collaboration was marked through the Country Programming Framework (CPF) for the 2016-2020 period. This collaboration is a collaboration with the Indonesian Government. Implementation will be led by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) through close consultation and approval with the Ministry of Agriculture and other national institutions. There are 4 priority areas determined by the CPF in coordination with Bappenas in Indonesia, namely: 1. Increasing the resilience of livelihoods to the impacts of climate change, natural disasters and the threat of pandemics 2. Intensifying sustainable food crop production and improving management of forests and fisheries resources 3. Alleviating poverty in rural areas through food systems and developing more inclusive value chains 4. Improving environmental policies and strengthening partnerships in the fields of agriculture, fisheries and forestry for food and nutrition security. Through this priority area, FAO will support the Indonesian government in realizing this through its programs.
