  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This research aims to explain India’s Reactions towards China’s Peaceful Development in Indian Ocean on 2008 to 2018. The research method uses descriptive research type with data sources obtained from books, journals, websites and news valid. In this research the author uses the concept of Balance of Power. The results of this research indicate that India shows its reactions towards China’s Peaceful Development by joining defense cooperation with a stronger state, United States. The defense cooperation is manifested by increasing and modernizing India’s Militar forces and joint military training between India. Japan and Unites States. By increasing and modernizing military forces, India succeeded in strengthening its domestic defense by increasing the annual military budget to modernize its army, naval and airforce military. Furthermore, on 2017 India, US and Japan organized joint military training on Bay of Bengal, part of Indian Ocean. The three countries aggreed to strengthen security in Indian Ocean from China’s agressive action by elaborating some cooperations in several sectors with the countries around Indian Ocean, they are Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka
