- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This study aims to explain the reasons for United States return to Paris Climate Agreement in 2021. When Donald Trump became president of United States in 2017, announces that United States will withdraw from Paris Climate Agreement. Paris Climate Agreement considered has potential to damage the country’s economy and United States will get an economic losses if stay with Paris Climate Agreement. Until 2020, the US officially leaves the Paris Climate Agreement. But in 2021, US declared itself to return the Paris Climate Agreement, even though the United States previously said it could harm the economy. Then it raised a question, why the US decided return to the Paris Climate Agreement in 2021. The theory used in this thesis are decision making theory by William D Coplin, and theory the influence model of decision making process by Andrew Heywood. The results show there are several things can influence the United States decision to return Paris Climate Agreement. First, based on the international context can affect domestic political conditions, like changing leaders and political direction of the country be more focus for fix the climate crisis problem. Second, based on US economic conditions, from fossil energy economic activities to achieve a clean economy and suistainable.. Third, based on the influence of climate scientists and environtmental groups, global investor groups, CEO, and some US companies.
