  • Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): Pakistan formed a China-Pakistan Economic Corridor collaboration which was officially agreed on July 5 2013, in Beijing, during a visit by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Shariff. In its implementation, CPEC experienced several problems that prevented the project from running, however, the government continued to provide great support for the ongoing project. This raises questions about what exactly Pakistan’s interests are within the framework of the Economic Corridor’s cooperation with China. The research uses an descriptive method which data are taken from books, journals, websites, and valid news. The author uses the concept from Sanjaya Baru on geoeconomic. The results of this study indicate that Pakistan’s interests in China Pakistan Economic Corridor’s cooperation are driven by four aspects namely knowledge power and demographic transition, agrarian transformation and search for resource, social and political transformation, especially the rise of a middle class and of entrepreneurial classes; fiscal capacity to fund military capability.
