- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): This study aims to describe the efforts of international slow food movement in responding to the phenomenon of fast food which is carried by protection of producer groups in Indonesia. As for the phenomenon of fast food, it has an impact on health problems, environmental degradation, and threatened traditional food as well as certain commodities. If this doesn’t get a response, it is feared that there will be extinctions in traditional food as well as production and the use. New social movement concept with four elements including goal, tactic, participant and structure helps explain how the slow food movement protects the presidium in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive argumentative research with the type of primary data that is done by interview techniques is also secondary data in the form of library research. As for data analysis techniques that are qualitative. Based on the results of the study, the slow food movement succeeded in protecting the presidium in Indonesia. This effort began by looking at the existing problems and then carried out the integration of views locally on each presidium, then continued with education both directly and through the coordinator. The coordination is the main thing in maintaining communication between actors, who will then help in the final stages of the business, namely through network promotion.
