- Abstrak (max. 1600 huruf atau 250 kata): The cooperation in the construction of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline is a bilateral collaboration between Iran and Pakistan that has been formed since 1995, and has a goal to meet the energy needs of natural gas. The purpose of this research is to explain the obstacle of Iran-Pakistan in cooperation to build a gas pipeline on Pakistan’s side. This research uses a descriptive method which data are taken from books, journals, websites, and valid news. The concept used in this study is Bilateral cooperation by Kusumohamidjoyo and the concept of energy security (energy security) from Von Hippel and Gal Luft. The result shows that some consideration of the obstacle in cooperation to build a gas pipeline between Iran-Pakistan 2011-2018 in Pakistan’s focus, there are are obstacle of the security barriers to gas pipelines that must pass through the Balochistan conflict area and economic constraints in the form of financial shortages in financing the construction of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.
