This research explains South Korea&#8217;s efforts to strengthen its national image through public diplomacy by leveraging digital technology, particularly the YouTube social media platform. The background of this study is related to the increasing importance of utilizing digital platforms to expand global audiences and foster more effective two-way communication. The &#8220;KOREAZ&#8221; channel has become a key tool in conveying diplomatic messages to international audiences. The study employs an illustrative method by linking the phenomenon of digital diplomacy on the &#8220;KOREAZ&#8221; YouTube channel especially \u201cKOREAZ LAB\u201d series with relevant theories, such as the concepts of \u201cupgrading\u201d and \u201caugmenting\u201d, as well as the principle of \u201cvisual simplicity\u201d in digital communication proposed by Bjola and Manor (2024). Moreover, to access the extent to which South Korea\u2019s MOFA achieved its objectives, this study employs three digital diplomacy\u2019s benefit indicators by Manor (2016): Practice New Public Diplomacy, Selfie Diplomacy, and Overcomes Limitations of Traditional Diplomacy.
