But women were not only regarded as victims but also as agents of change. The efforts made by women\u2019s group in the country were actively in facilitating women\u2019s inclusion in conflict resolution and democratization. Women\u2019s Forum as one of the women\u2019s group in Sierra Leone played an active role in the peace process, which included organising campaigns, demonstrations, debates to advocate for peace. Women\u2019s Forum have been active in lobbying for the holding of two national Consultative Conference in 1995 and 1996, which paved the way for the transition to democratic rule. Women\u2019s Forum mobilising for of the 30 percent quota for women\u2019s representation in parliament.
